After weeks of a rumored romance between NBA champion Jaylen Brown and free-agent WNBA guard Kysre Gondrezick, the pro-hoopers made their relationship official when they walked the red carpet at the 2024 ESPY Awards on Thursday, July 11.

Brown, 27, and Gondrezick, 26, stunned in matching black ensembles at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, Calif. The former WNBA player’s dress had lace details and a high collar while the Boston Celtics star wore a broach and sunglasses to accessorize his red carpet look.

During the ESPYS red carpet livestream on ESPN.com, Brown called Gondrezick his “beautiful date.”

The duo first sparked romance rumors when she was spotted beside him as he celebrated his NBA championship.

And just before their red carpet debut at the ESPYS, the two were spotted boarding a van to the show and walking arm in arm by TMZ.

Brown was named Finals MVP in June for helping lead the Celtics to an eighteenth banner for TD Garden.

At Thursday’s show, Brown won the award for best championship performance. During his speech, Brown thanked ESPN, his teammates, the Celtics organization and his “beautiful mother.”

“God is the greatest of all time,” Brown said, before concluding his acceptance speech.

Gondrezick, meanwhile, was recently waived from the Chicago Sky, where she played alongside and developed a close friendship with Angel Reese. The two regularly share posts from outings together on Instagram and make videos for TikTok.

Before her relationship with Brown, Gondrezick was linked to NBA player Kevin Porter Jr. In September, Porter Jr., 24, was arrested after an alleged assault involving Gondrezick at a Manhattan hotel overnight.

Gondrezick was taken to a nearby hospital following the incident with a broken bone and bruises, according to local NBC 4.

She was rushed to the hospital in stable condition after suffering cuts on the right side of her face, an NYPD spokesperson told PEOPLE. Porter Jr. “struck her multiple times about the body and placed his hands around her neck,” according to police allegations. In January, Porter Jr. entered a guilty plea to charges of misdemeanor assault and harassing infraction.

Gondrezick, who was selected fourth overall in 2021, may yet be picked up by a WNBA team even though he was dismissed by the Sky last month.
