Travis Kelce’s brother Jason recently went to his first Taylor Swift performance. During the show, the former NFL player broke down in tears. Jason was visibly moved by the performance, and he and his spouse Kylie Kelce accompanied Travis at Swift’s Eras Tour in London.
Jason shared his thoughts about the encounter on the New Heights podcast. “Dude, I’ve never cried at a f–king concert,” he said to Travis. The moment when Swift performed her song 22 was unique.
Swift hands over her 22 hats to a young admirer at every performance. This gesture struck a chord with Jason. The man conceded, “The 22 hat? I have never sobbed at a f***ing concert, but I could not stop crying while I watched this tiny girl’s whole performance. I’m going to start crying now. It was incredibly unique. Jason was astounded by Swift’s endurance and acting prowess.
He complimented her on her ability to perform for more than three hours nonstop. He stated, “Taylor is an incredible singer-songwriter,” according to The Daily Mail. Jason made a joke about having to change into new clothing if he did what she did for only one song.
Jason found the acoustic section of the event to be quite impressive. He referred to it as his “favourite part” of the show. Swift plays unexpected songs with just her voice and an instrument during that part. Jason was impressed by her ability to combine several tunes in a seamless way.
He said it must be difficult to perform in front of ninety thousand people with such intimacy. The most memorable part of the event, in Jason’s opinion, was his ability to execute those flawlessly on the spot without using anything else to cover it up. He likened it to hearing a piano performance in a pub, when the large space somehow manages to create an intimate atmosphere.
Travis said, “She got into it, man,” concurring with his brother’s judgement. It was fantastic. She does that on each and every episode. She also adds a special touch to each show with the acoustic set. This entails switching up the surprise song lineup and inviting notable visitors to the stage.
Jason also spoke about the crowd’s excitement. He made light of the profusion of friendship bracelets that Swift’s admirers have a custom of wearing. According to People, he joked, “I can’t feel my hand anymore because all these friendship bracelets are cutting off my circulation.”
The podcast episode was taped by the brothers not long after Jason’s debut appearance. Both of them were still giddy from the encounter. Travis, who has been dating Swift since 2023, seems happy that his brother had such a great time at the performance.
Interestingly, Travis shocked listeners by performing with Swift live the day after the podcast was recorded. He made an appearance for her third London performance at Wembley Stadium. Alongside Swift’s backup dancers, he performed while sporting a tailcoat and top hat.
