Sam Heughan and Travis Kelce are prepared for Taylor Swift’s Scotland stop on her Eras Tour, but are they?
In a video posted to Instagram on June 5, the 44-year-old Outlander actor expressed his excitement to fans about seeing the “Fortnight” singer perform live this weekend and gave her a warm welcome to Edinburgh, Scotland.
Clad in full costume, he said to the camera, “I guess most of the cast is going to see Taylor Swift play in Scotland. “She obviously doesn’t know this, but she’s going to fall in love with a man wearing a ginger wig and forget all about… him [Travis Kelce] when she comes to Scotland and sees me in the audience.”
Heughan wrote, “Welcome to Scotland, Taylor,” as the post’s caption. “JAMMF is an avid reader.”
“How is she able to resist?” Heughan grinned and then played a lighthearted jab at the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. “She’s going to take me out instead of shaking him off. I’m ecstatic!
Using Swift’s song “Ready For It?” as the backdrop for his video, the actor made a reference to James Alexander Malcolm Mackenzie Fraser, the character he played in Outlander, saying, “Welcome to Scotland, Taylor! ξ ξ ξ ξ ξ ξ .” JAMMF possesses a Swiftie π«Ά.
Even though everything seemed lighthearted, Kelce might have some competition. After all, when he told her he was going to gift her a friendship bracelet with his phone number during her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City, he and Swift fell in love.

The pair has since flaunted their newfound romance with gusto. Swift showed her support for the NFL player by going to the Super Bowl this year. In April, the two were pictured dancing at the Coachella Music Festival. Their romance is even mentioned in the Grammy-winning musician’s most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department.
Heughan’s footage was released not long after he was seen on May 29 strolling around London with an unidentified woman. The two strolled hand in hand through the Soho neighbourhood of the city, matching in their all-black costumes.
The Scottish actor has stated in the past that he is “still looking” for the right person, but he has not publicly acknowledged any partnerships or stated that he is seeing someone.
Heughan told PEOPLE in May 2023 that he thought love was on the horizon and disclosed that he was a “romantic at heart” when promoting his romantic film Love Again.
The actor responded, “I’ve done all of the gift-giving and turning up when least expected, but, so far, I’m still looking,” when asked about the craziest thing he’s done in the pursuit of love.
Swift will be performing at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh from Friday, 7 June to Sunday, 9 June.
