Travis and Jason Kelce reveal the unexpected story of being expelled from preschool for a reason that would surprise anyone who hears it

Brothers Jason and Travis Kelce admitted that they were mischievous and courted trouble in their early school years, even though they went on to have successful professional lives. Jason and Travis Kelce, the stars of the popular podcase New Heights, recalled being ejected from preschool when the second season of the show began in September 2023.

Jason’s wife Kylie Kelce joined her husband and brother-in-law, not knowing that they had been told not to go back to their separate preschools. Jason said on the show that he hasn’t taught his three daughters—Benedict, who is six months old, Elliotte, who is two years old, and Wyatt, who is three—”how to fight the Kelce way.” Instead, he claimed he is “trying to prevent them from being expelled from preschool in the same manner that I was.” “We both got kicked out of preschool,” added Travis.

Jason claimed to People that he got into a fight and used a spork while he and another student were “playing at a cafeteria table.” Jason said, “I hit him right in the forehead because we were stabbing each other with sporks for some reason.” “I just recall that his dad had him under his arm the following day, and he had four tiny spork dots.” Subsequently, he made fun of his father Ed’s comment, “Why weren’t you watching him?” in response to the school. Travis claimed he was kicked out of preschool after getting into a violent dispute with his teacher over a tense game of checkers. Travis laughed and remarked, “I was winning because I don’t f—ing lose at checkers,” adding that the winner got to keep playing. The Kansas City Chiefs player claimed, “I kept winning and the teacher told me, you know Travis, you have to share, and I was like, that’s not how it rolls.”

Travis said that he “threw the chair I was sitting in at her,” refusing to give up his checker position. Jason continued to make fun of his brother, saying things such, “You never move your back row, so it’s kind of hard to win” when they were playing checkers with Travis. “This is what you married into Ky,” the former Philadelphia Eagles player informed his spouse. “You know what? It was the ’90s,” chuckled Travis.

According to People, Jason talked passionately about his relationship with his younger brother during his emotional retirement speech in March. He recalled their shared memories of playing sports as kids and their joy when each other was selected for the NFL draft. Our household is not large. One aunt, one uncle, and no cousins. Actually, that was my brother and I our entire lives, said Jason. “We engaged in nearly every activity together, including competition, conflict, laughter, tears, and mutual learning.”
