MIKEL ARTETA and his wife Lorena Bernal have been soaking up the sun on holiday.

The Arsenal boss is unwinding after a gruelling season which saw his side miss out on the Premier League title on the final day of the season to Manchester City.

Arteta has escaped to the region of Porto Cevo in Sardinia, Italy.

He is there with his ex-Miss World contestant wife Lorena, who enjoyed a trip on a yacht with Arteta and two of their two children – Daniel, 11, and Oliver, nine.

Arteta, 42, appeared relaxed in a stylish pair of sunglasses as he sat next to Lorena, before the pair decided to work on their tans.

The Spaniard helped out his wife by rubbing sunscreen into her back after the model stripped off to a bikini.

The mum of three rolled back her glamorous years in a black bikini.

Lorena, 43, was crowned Miss Spain in 1999 and has also worked as a TV presenter and actress, appearing in a host of Spanish films and TV shows as well as Chuck and CSI: Miami.

And she recently stole the show at the Globe Soccer Awards as Arteta won “Best Premier League Coach”.

Before getting married in 2010, the couple dated for about six years after first meeting in 2002.

Having nearly 60,000 Instagram followers, Lorena frequently shows her support for Arteta, as evidenced by her attendance at the All or Nothing: Arsenal premiere.
