Being the inspiration for girlfriend Taylor Swift is nothing to Travis Kelce.

The 34-year-old tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs seems to have inspired two songs on Swift’s 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, but he wasn’t taken aback by the subliminal references.

“He was present for everything before to its release. According to an exclusive insider who spoke to Us Weekly exclusively, “He is so proud of [her] and understands and accepts that being with her means being a part of her music.” “And he feels safe and okay about it.”

The April 19 release of TTPD has references to a number of people besides Kelce. Since the album’s release, Swift fans have been analyzing it to try and determine which tracks are about Joe Alwyn, the 34-year-old singer she dated from 2016 to 2023, and Matty Healy, the man she dated for several months in 2023. After Swift parted ways with Alwyn, 33, they got back in touch. The two had previously been linked in 2014.

As to the source, Swift’s writing about former romantic partners doesn’t seem to bother Kelce.

The informant said that Travis “is understanding about the ex-boyfriend songs.” “He understands the significance of her past experiences in shaping her expression.”

The insider continues, “Just because there aren’t as many songs on TTPD that are Kelce-inspired doesn’t mean they don’t exist.”

The insider says, “She has written other songs, some of which were inspired by Travis, but they weren’t produced or included on the album.” “They couldn’t have been included in the record at that point. She hasn’t yet disclosed any and has kept some hidden. She has a notebook and writes frequently.

The lyrics to Swift’s songs “The Alchemy” and “So High School,” both of which can be found on TTPD, make reference to football.

Swift sings on “The Alchemy,” “So when I touch down, call the amateurs and cut ’em from the team,” before declaring herself to be “the greatest in the league” and announcing that she is on a winning streak.

She makes allusion to the game “Kiss, marry, kill” in her comment, “You know how to ball, I know Aristotle,” on “So High School.” A 2016 Afterbuzz TV appearance featuring Swift, Ariana Grande, and Katy Perry urged Kelce to play the game; the video has subsequently leaked.

“Gosh, that’s just wrong. During the conversation, Kelce made a joke about not wanting to murder any of them. “I’m sorry, Arianna. I love you, but you’re gone. And that would be the kiss with Taylor Swift. Which is the final one, then? Katy Perry? Yes, Katy Perry would make a great bride.

In the summer of 2023, Swift and Kelce began dating. When Swift attended her first Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City in September of that year, the couple made their romance official.

Kelce has stated that he is unafraid of the increased attention that dating Swift brings.

“I believe it was all the home recordings my mother had made at home using the handheld joint, an outdated camcorder. In an interview that was published on Thursday, April 25, he said to Extra’s Billy Bush, “I just always felt comfortable with the camera on me and the lights on me,” while filming his new game show Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? on the set of Amazon Prime Video.

“I enjoy a decent challenge,” “I enjoy taking on new challenges,” he said. “I’m doing something that really helps me focus that I haven’t done before. and there’s something about it that I find appealing.

Swift, on the other hand, is loving how her connection with Kelce is different from her previous romances, which were more discreet.

A second source exclusively told Us earlier this month, “[Taylor’s] not feeling the need to hide with Travis has been so refreshing.” “He gives her a sense of security and protection, allowing her to be whoever she wants to be.”
