Joe Alwyn Rises REACT TO Taylor Swift’s New Album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ Is About Him Cheating

Fans correctly surmised that Taylor Swift’s upcoming album, The Tortured Poets Department, would be about her breakup with Joe Alwyn, after the singer made the announcement at the 2024 Grammy Awards. Before splitting up in March of last year, the couple dated for six years.

It was recently brought to the attention of fans that Alwyn read poetry on Soundcloud that was written before he was dating Swift. His interview with Paul Mescal for Variety in December 2022 also made a reappearance after followers discovered they were part of a WhatsApp group conversation known as “The Tortured Man Club.” Maybe this clarifies the name of the record.
The Daily Mail in the United Kingdom was contacted in February by a source on the British actor’s thoughts over Swift’s then-upcoming project. Alwyn hopes the CD won’t reveal too much about their relationship and had no plans to talk about it. Since its midnight release, he has been silent.

Before Swift revealed her track selection, the source produced an article that led fans to believe that Alwyn served as inspiration for the album “So Long, London.”

“Joe has not said a word about Taylor or their breakup and has been completely respectful of her,” the Alwyn source claimed. There is no denying that Joe’s WhatsApp group discussion is referenced in the title of her upcoming album. While they were together, Taylor gave him a hard time over this moniker. She was naturally disturbed when he went out about it because she didn’t want others to believe that it was related to her.Taylor Swift and Joe Alywn

The insider added, “Joe has no reason to believe that she is going to criticize him or their relationship right now. “She employs references and codes in her writing about her history. He may be hoping it’s nothing more than her thinking back on their time together. It’s dubious if it’s a diss record. He wrote songs for her on her previous album [Folklore and Evermore, under the moniker William Bowery], so he hasn’t discussed their breakup at all, so he will be very surprised if she talks about it. He has withdrawn himself from her story and is happy that he did, therefore no matter what she does, he won’t reply.

The track list that Swift released is this one. The source omitted talking about Alwyn’s opinions of it.
