The Icon of the Seas, which is the largest superyacht in the world, will embark on its voyage in the Caribbean in January 2024. It will have the capacity to accommodate 5,610 passengers and 2,350 crew members, according to the announcement made by Michael Bayley, the President and CEO of Royal Caribbean International. The superyacht will include a coastal water park equipped with a swimming pool and a collection of six waterslides that have broken world records. The Icon of the Seas, scheduled to become part of the Royal Caribbean fleet on October 26, offers a cutting-edge and technologically advanced experience, leveraging the company’s extensive 50-year knowledge and skills.

The superyacht offers passengers the opportunity to indulge in the Category 6 water park, which boasts six waterslides that have broken records. Additionally, there are seven pools and nine whirlpools available for travellers seeking a more serene experience. The superyacht offers more than 40 eating and entertainment choices, with the majority of them being included by the ticket fee. It also gives a range of 28 separate room classes to cater to all sorts of families.Royal Caribbean International highlighted the meticulous planning of family-oriented suites aboard the superyacht, which has achieved exceptional pre-sales figures. Michael Bayley praised the Icon of the Seas as the most successful new product launch in the company’s history in a quarterly financial report.The Icon of the Seas will provide continuous service throughout the year, delivering week-long journeys from Miami to the Caribbean and returning. Royal Caribbean intends to conduct a second round of sea trials by the end of 2023, with a workforce of over 2,600 individuals who are actively engaged in the superyacht’s daily operations and undergoing rigorous testing at sea.
